Synergy In Dupuytrens Contracture

Synergy (sin’-er-je) is a fact of life that is all around us, and it even applies to all people who have Dupuytrens contracture. It is the combined effect of two or more combined substances or forces working together that tend to produce a total effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements. An easier example of synergy is “1 + 1 = 3”. Taber’s medical dictionary defines synergy as “the harmonious action of two agents such as drugs, or organs such as muscles, producing an effect which neither alone could produce, or an effect that may result which is greater than the total effects of each agent operating by itself”.

An example of synergy from everyday life: A physician who must closely monitor a patient who is taking two or more prescriptions. The effect of drug 1 might be well known, and the effect of drug 2 might also be well known. But the combined synergistic effect of both drugs 1 and 2 are unknown. For this reason the doctor will closely monitor that situation in which multiple medication is being prescribed because of the synergy between the two medications. Thus, synergy is well known in the practice of medicine.

Everyday life is full of examples of synergy, when two or more agents or elements act in common to produce an end result that is greater than the simple sum each is able to achieve separately. A good example of synergy occurs in agriculture, when soil nutrients are applied to benefit crops. If nutrient A is known to produce a 2% increase in crop production, and nutrient B is known to produce a 2% increase in crop production, it is logical that using these two nutrients together should result in a 4% crop increase. However, because of the synergy between nutrients A and B a 6-8% crop production increase might occur, instead of the expected 4%. Taking it a step further, nutrients A, B, and C (with each increasing crop production by 2%) when used together might result in a combined synergistic effect above 12%.

Dupuytrens contracture treatment can benefit from the synergy of many Alternative Medicine therapies combined and taken at the same time
Synergy is the greater work accomplished by union of more than
one effort that is greater than the sum of the parts: 1+1+1 = 5

Synergy is the reason some cooking recipes cannot be simply doubled if you want to make twice as much of a particular recipe. Because of the synergy between two ingredients in the recipe, perhaps the eggs or some other ingredient, there is a reaction in which one of the ingredients behaves in a way that is more than its single effect.
Synergy is the reason that a team of players, or soldiers, or workers, or musicians, or whatever, will perform better or at a higher level of achievement when combined, than each when acting alone.
DCI’s treatment philosophy takes advantage of the simple phenomenon of synergy that occurs all around us every day. DCI's use of multiple natural therapies uses this synergistic power of nature while treating Dupuytrens contracture, just as in medical practice when medication is used. The principle of synergy applies in countless areas and situations throughout life, and treatment of Dupuytrens contracture is no exception.
Therefore, the synergy of multiple natural therapies selected from successful research and studies should result in an improved ability of the body to heal and repair Dupuytrens contracture. It’s as simple as that.

The normal and full use of your hand or hands can be taken from you through Dupuytrens contracture progression. Do all that you can, as early as you can, to allow your body the best opportunity to reverse this problem.
